Description
And it's done!
Those that know me, know that I love the Metroid series, all the way back to the original.
This has been a challenging drawing. I don't draw mechanical things often, so that is one thing. The other is that I wanted to draw the armour as that, which means a person has to fit inside (see below ).
Now, before a Metroid nerd comes saying the armour is not right, I will say that I'm as much as a nerd, and in fact it has many difference with the "real" thing.
The first and most obvious is that the pads are not big enough. This was intentional, I didn't want the pads to hide her eyes, and I did the pose before the armour, so it was a compromise.
Other errors are because finding proper references is not easy... and then you discover that in fact the armour as slight alterations in every game. So instead of nailing down one design, again I had to compromise and do my own thing.
Anyway, that is it.
The background image was not drawn by me. It's taken from [link] . All the photos from the Hubble telescope are in public domain, and can be used and distributed freely for non-commercial purposes.
Samus and everything from the Metroid series are copyright of Nintendo.
